Corona virus started from a city of China named Wuhan at the end of 2019. China took immediately measures to counter Corona virus and lock down the city completely. In the first month of 2020 only, Wuhan was infected with it. Later, as other countries drew out their citizen from Wuhan, it spreads like fire in the forest throughout the world.
World health organization declared health emergency on 11 February 2020. Corona virus declared as pandemic on 14 March 2020. In the beginning it was an epidemic because it was just in one city or country. Due to the carelessness of people it converted into pandemic. At the beginning of this pandemic death rate was about 2-3 percent but now the death rate increases tragically up-to 15-17 percent. The main reason in the increase of number of deaths is violation of the guidelines given by WHO.
In the first two months of this pandemic there were only 0.2 million confirmed cases of Corona virus and number of deaths were less than 10000. After first two months number of cases increases dramatically. There are more than 2.6 million confirmed cases of CVID-19. about 0.8 million people have been recovered from this pandemic. About 0.2 million have been died due to this pandemic till now. There are also about 40000 suspected deaths due to COVID-19.
After China COVID-19 spread in Italy and Spain tragically. There are more than 40000 deaths in Italy and Spain. Now America is the most affected country from Corona virus in the world. there are more than 0.8 million confirmed cases in America. America has tested about 2 million people which is the highest number in the world. There are about 50000 deaths in America due to COVID-19. It is also interesting that in America about half of the cases and deaths are in New York. Europe is also affected badly by COVID-19. Most affected countries of Europe are Italy, Spain, France and England.
Corona virus started from China but due to immediately precautionary measurements of Chinese government China has recovered from it. Lock down from Wuhan ended in the start April. Victory of China against Corona virus gives hope to the world. About 80 countries are trying to discover the vaccine of Corona virus but still there is no vaccine against Corona virus. Still there is only one possible way to get rid from it is “social distancing”. China acted upon “social distancing” and today China is the only country in the world which is free from COVID-19. Although now all countries are following the social distancing but still number of cases are increasing tremendously. People need to follow the guidelines issued by WHO and wash their hands frequently. Stay home stay safe and keep the world safe.
